In a recent listing of the best tourism villages in India, only 1 village from Punjab - Hansali - made the cut out of 36 across India.

Only 26 lakh domestic and 3.5 lakh international tourists visited Punjab in 2022, versus 18 crore domestic and 17 lakh international tourists who visited our neighboring state of Rajasthan.

Our music, food and fashion enrich businesses the world over, but not our state, economy or communities.

It doesn’t have to be this way.

Our mission at Punjab Cultural Project (PCP) is to build a modern cultural economy in Punjab, where the cultural sector, led by responsible and innovative cultural enterprises, adds concrete economic value to the mainstream economy.

But how do we get there?

Over 60 cultural entrepreneurs and ecosystem enablers active across Punjab got together, in person, to discuss and debate this very question, at the PCP Dialogues 2024 event held on 28th September 2024 at Mandi Gobindgarh.

If you were there, you know what an amazing dialogue we had. But if you were not, this report is the best way to get an inside look at the insights gathered over 8 hours of discussion and co-creation.
