Jahanumaa Mehfil: Punjab Edit

What is it:

A series of intimate, bespoke cultural gatherings that revive the elegance and depth of classical mehfil traditions for contemporary audiences.

Each edition is built around a literary or cultural theme and unfolds through a seamless blend of storytelling, music, scholarship, and heritage hospitality. Jahaanuma reflects a vision rooted in cultural revival and meaningful public engagement.

Format:

Designed as an immersive experience rather than a stage performance, Jahaanuma brings artists and audiences into shared proximity over the session, with elements of co-creation and participation, rather than just consumption.

This evening is dedicated to Mirza Ghalib, whose poetry bridges romance and philosophy, wit and metaphysics, skepticism and surrender. The mehfil presents Ghalib not only as a literary icon, but as a cultural personality whose world of language, humour, and longing comes alive through narrative and music.

Tickets include the performance and a chef-curated dinner.
