How long have you been exploring art?

I’ve been Art’íng ever since I can recall, but yes, the exploration began about 13 years back!

What inspires you most about Punjab's culture?

Lavish hospitality, universally appreciated delicious cuisine and the spirit of community service is something every Punjabi is proud of!

Your personal art philosophy:

For me, art is something which pleases your eyes, your ears, your intellect, the aesthetic faculty and/or moral sense. A painting, as an expression, which, firstly, should be able to draw an audience, and then, have the power to engage them in a dialogue.

About the featured artwork:

The total cultivable area of the State is 4.2 million hectares, which constitutes only 3% of the net area sown in the country. Yet, with this small area, Punjab ranks 7th as gross producer of wheat in the world and it generates third largest marketable surplus after Canada and Australia, which is about one tenth of the global trade in wheat. In case of rice, its market surplus is 2nd only to Thailand at the global level. My artwork is a depiction of what Punjab is best at – Agriculture!
