The PCP Dialogues is our flagship roundtable series that brings together 50 cultural and creative entrepreneurs, champions, and changemakers in a safe, invitation-only setting. We will discuss the challenges and opportunities and co-create actionable solutions to create a thriving cultural economy in Punjab.
Purpose of The PCP Dialogues Series:
- An open exchange of thoughts and ideas on the state of the cultural economy in Punjab
- Joint reflection on the challenges and opportunities, and roles and responsibilities of various stakeholders
- Co-create a practical roadmap to build a strong cultural economy in Punjab
- Put the ideas into practice through the activities of PCP and other social organizations active in Punjab.
Event Agenda:
2 panel discussions (1 hour)
Panel #1: Challenges and opportunities
- Setting context: What are the building blocks of a strong cultural economy? Experiences and examples from around the world
- The state of Punjab’s cultural economy - facts, gaps and challenges: What are the roadblocks to build the foundational ecosystem for cultural entrepreneurship in Punjab?
Panel #2: Stakeholders and action
Concrete actions to translate Punjab’s rich heritage and culture into real economic opportunities for our cultural entrepreneurs and creator communities
- How can cultural and creative practitioners and entrepreneurs (producers) sustain, grow, and reach new generations and markets?
- How can more citizens (consumers) and communities engage with and champion cultural activities and industries across Punjab?
- In what ways can we involve diaspora and governance in this movement?
